Febrile Infant — AAP 2021

Well-appearing febrile infant 8–60 days old. Workup & management by age band and inflammatory markers.

Applies to well-appearing, previously healthy infants born at ≥ 37 weeks, age 8–60 days, with fever ≥ 38.0 °C (100.4 °F) at home or in clinic. Ill-appearing infants, or those < 8 days, get full evaluation and admission regardless of this tool.
