Contrast dosing. Iodinated CT contrast in children is commonly 1.5–2 mL/kg of a low-osmolar agent, not to exceed the institutional adult maximum. Gadolinium is dosed at 0.1 mmol/kg for routine MRI; volume depends on molarity (0.5 M → 0.2 mL/kg; 1.0 M → 0.1 mL/kg). Defaults here are editable — always reconcile with local protocol and the package insert. Schwartz. Bedside (updated) Schwartz equation, Schwartz et al., J Am Soc Nephrol 2009.
